My first introduction to yoga was a prenatal class when I was pregnant with my third child Kate in 2000.
I still lived in Amsterdam in the Netherlands at the time and a lot of yoga studios started to pop up around the city. I was curious to try something different and was immediately hooked. I especially liked pranayama and meditation, both things I had never learned before. My yoga practice helped me a lot during my pregnancies. I noticed the difference in my own wellbeing and I felt that my baby was more peaceful as well.
We moved to Fishers in 2007 and I found my yogi tribe here at Flourish very quickly. I decided to sign up for YTT in 2021 and share my love for yoga with others. I also practice Reiki so I incorporate that in my classes if it makes sense.
Furthermore, I just finished my YTT500 and Yoga Nidra certification recently. I have discovered "the more I learn, I realize there is more that I don't know", so I am planning to be a lifelong learner.
My other interests are Ayurveda and cooking plant-based meals, hiking, gardening, traveling and always trying new yoga studios wherever I go. I love meeting like-minded people all over the world.
