YOGA CLASSES

Unless otherwise noted, all classes are offered in-studio as well as via livestream.

GENTLE YOGA

This class is a slow-paced, relaxing Hatha yoga practice that takes each posture to the individual’s specific needs. Hatha yoga combines postures, breathing techniques, and meditation with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. Gentle yoga is suitable for all levels of yoga practitioner, and is especially good for people experiencing pain, limited mobility and injuries.

HOT VINYASA

Our Hot Vinyasa classes have the ultimate focus of honoring your breath and synchronizing your breath with your body movements. The room is heated to 100-105 degrees, enabling our bodies to increase flexibility and literally wring out through our sweat any toxins and impurities that are inhibiting us from optimal wellbeing. This dynamic class reminds us that physical challenge and exertion can lead the way to (spiritual) contentment. Please bring a towel, and perhaps your own mat, eye pillow, & bottle of water. It is best to eat no later than 2 hours prior to a Hot Vinyasa practice and HYDRATE RESPONSIBLY before (even during) and after your Hot Vinyasa practice. Most of us perspire heavily in this class helping us to cleanse and glow from the inside out.

WARM VINYASA

This class offering is a slower flow vinyasa with slightly less heat (90). But don’t be fooled by a slower pace, as slow is the new hard.  Expect to be physically and mentally challenged in this sweet, warm, deep dive into stillness. Bring your towel and water and be ready to sweat.

NON-HEATED VINYASA FLOW

Our Flow Yoga is a vinyasa style yoga class taught at room temperature.  Vinyasa simply means breath linked with movement. With a foundation of flowing sequences, expect to have a different experience each time you attend. Flow Yoga helps your physical body wring out toxins and impurities.

Flow Yoga also deeply benefits your emotional and spiritual body, by releasing what you no longer need and making space for what you do need. This practice allows you to move deeper into postures. Flow Yoga is invigorating, so you will leave class with renewed energy.

WARM SOMATIC FLOW

Warm Somatic Flow is an all-levels 90 degree class, offering opportunities for more challenges, or more calm, to meet every student’s needs and regulate the nervous system. This class uses multiple modalities to stimulate the vagus nerve to help us connect more deeply with the body and mind. This healing modality helps to release anything tethered to the body, such as stress or trauma, and these tools can be taken with us off our mats and into daily life.

STRESS RELIEF AND REIKI

This gentle somatic class will give you an opportunity to restore, replenish, and release.  Feel the stress just melt away as you are guided through postures and various relaxation techniques in a comfortable, non-heated room.

The teacher will use a variety of styles based on the needs of the students during class: Yin Yoga, Hatha Yoga and Wall Yoga to name a few.  Different relaxation techniques will also be explored, including meditation, breath work, self-massage, tapping, and reflexology. Each class will include Reiki- your teacher will use their gentle touch to activate the natural healing processes of one’s own body to restore physical and emotional wellbeing. Reiki helps unblock the flow of energy in the channels of the body, bringing balance and healing to the mind, body, and spirit.

YIN WITH REIKI

The universe is comprised of both yin and yang qualities. Yin is the stable, unmoving, hidden aspects of existence, while yang is the moving, changing, revealing aspects of existence. Yin yoga is a quiet, restorative practice that focuses on expanding and nourishing the deep connective tissues of the body, specifically the ligaments and fascia that connect the bones. Stretching these tissues can bring healing to areas of chronic injury, especially involving the spine and hips. In addition, yin practitioners believe that energy travels throughout the body through meridians in the connective tissue.

In this Reiki style of Yin, your teacher will use their gentle touch to activate the natural healing processes of one’s own body to restore physical and emotional wellbeing. Yin Reiki helps unblock the flow of energy in the channels of the body, bringing balance and healing to the mind, body, and spirit.

In a yin practice, you will find the opportunity to bring stillness to your body and mind. We will move slowly, holding each posture for several minutes. This gentle, meditative practice is appropriate for students of all fitness and experience levels.

YIN/YANG

Based on the ancient Chinese principles of balancing energy in our lives, a Yin & Yang class offers two styles of yoga in one practice- combining the benefits of passively holding yoga poses to help soften and release the connective tissues and strengthen the joints (Yin), and more dynamic sequences and standing postures, working into the muscles and building strength and energy (Yang).

A morning class may begin with a centering practice and Yin poses, allowing us to start to release the tightness in our morning bodies, and then move into a Vinyasa flow (Yang), with an energizing sequence to start the day.

And an afternoon or evening class may start with a Vinyasa flow, synchronizing breath to movement, allowing us to release excess energy from our day, then move into Yin postures allowing for a deep stretch, grounding, and preparing us to relax for the evening.

This class is non-heated and is suitable for all levels of yoga experience.
