Erin Smith
I have a deep passion for teaching both heated vinyasa flows and yin yoga. Inspired by the moon, the changing seasons, and the natural world, each class is designed to be a peaceful and intentional journey. Whether you join me for an energetic heated flow or a calming, slow-hold-yin session, you'll find plenty of modifications to meet you where you are.
My goal is to help you tune into your body, release built-up emotions, let go of trauma, and care for your mental health. Every class begins with setting a purposeful intention and then releasing attachment to it, allowing you to focus on the internal experience rather than the outcome. This mind-body movement emphasizes turning inward, and finding balance all while exploring the eight limbs of yoga.
Raised in a family-owned business, Prestwick Country Club, on the west side of Indianapolis, I learned the value of hard work from a young age. After graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Hospitality Management, I decided to pivot my career to spend more time with my husband, raise our sons, and care for our parents.
My journey took me to the Aveda Institute, where I enjoyed a fulfilling career in hairdressing and as an educator for Aveda. It was during this time that I discovered yoga and fell instantly in love. I received my 200-hour yoga certification in 2013. Off my mat, I enjoy walking and hiking in nature, often with my sweet fur baby, family, and friends. My family enjoys cooking together, visiting farmers' markets, biking, catching live music, and traveling together. I am so grateful to be able to share my love of yoga with you and our community!
